Throughout the spring, I will be giving out my own player rankings for the upcoming fantasy baseball season. Keep in mind these rankings are my own and they may vary from others.

Don’t be the person that is a “rankings slave.” I wanted to give these out so you can have an idea of what players will come off the board early in your draft and what players have fallen off from last year.

Make your own judgments! But feel free to use these rankings as your guide.

Top 15 Players

Ranking Player
1 Mookie Betts
2 Mike Trout
3 J.D. Martinez
4 Nolan Arenado
5 Jose Ramirez
6 Christian Yelich
7 Max Scherzer
8 Chris Sale
9 Alex Bregman
10 Paul Goldschmidt
11 Jacob DeGrom
12 Aaron Judge
13 Bryce Harper
14 Manny Machado
15 Trevor Story

Quick Notes

-Betts > Trout for me is simple. The Red Sox have the better line up, by far, so you expect Betts to drive in and score more runs than Trout.

-Jose Ramirez stock is dropping fast. That Indians lineup is not pretty and Lindor may miss the start of the season. Ramirez could fall lower than No. 5 as the spring goes on.

-Paul Goldschmidt aka “Goldy” should have a big, big year in St. Louis. The Cardinals are going to be a tough team to play in 2019. The NL Central is the best division in baseball and Goldy is easily the best 1B in the NL.

-Alex Bregman is going to have a big year, don’t be surprised if he moves past Ramirez at some point. He’s my AL MVP for 2019. I’ll explain more in an article I’m working on.
